Appearance discrimination continues to have  a strong presence within today’s society, psychologically affecting its victims in the long-term. This immersive film allows the viewer to step onto the shoes of a suicidal man and experience his overwhelming daily life thoughts.

Based on the stories that we collected through an interactive website and the research done on the psychological effects of bullying, we created a Virtual Reality narrative where a person experiences suicidal thought as a result of childhood bullying. The immersive films consist of two main scenes, an interplay of the real world filmed with a 360 camera, and a surreal abstract world created with dark inkblot graphics.

As a result we hope to gain awareness of the long-term psychological effect of childhood bullying by amplifying the unheard voices hidden behind appearance discrimination through the power of an immersive experience.
